So what's a "side-hustle"?
Simply put, a side-hustle is typically another way to earn some extra money besides your normal everyday job.
There are many different side hustles that work, with varying degrees of success. Some require more time and effort than others, some require more cash investment than others.
Ok, so let's dive in and take a look at extra ways to make money.
Matched Betting
Ok, so this is something I came across after watching an ad on Instagram. I've never been a betting man, maybe a flutter on the Grand National like a lot of other people do and sometimes the lottery, but that's about it. I understand that normal long-term betting tends to be a losing game and in the end the house (or bookmaker) always wins. So at first I was skeptical, as would most people be. But after watching the video the made a lot of sense and actually worked.
The basic idea is - there are 2 types of bets. Back bets and lay bets. A back bet is betting that something will happen and a lay bet is betting that it won't. In a bet, there is always someone backing the bet and someone laying the bet.
For example, for a back bet I could say to a friend "I bet I can juggle 3 balls for 5 minutes straight" and my friend would say "I bet you can't". I would be backing the bet saying it will happen and my friend is laying the bet, saying it won't.
It's the same when placing a bet on a horse in the Grand National. When I place a bet, I am placing a back bet, saying the horse is going to win. Whereas the bookie is laying the bet, saying it's not going to win.
If the horse wins, then of course I win the bet, if it loses, then the bookie wins their bet. Two parts to the same bet. With matched-betting, you're going to placing both parts of the bet.
This works with all sports, including football. What happens if it's a draw? Well that is also covered by the lay bet. For example, if we were to place a bet that Arsenal will beat Everton, but it ends in a 1-1 draw, the bet will be covered with lay bet.
So how do we make money with this scheme? We take advantage of free bets and bonuses. Signing up to many different bookie websites, taking advantage of the free bets from the signup offers and existing customer offers.
Every time we place a bet with a bookie, we're going to lay the bet somewhere else called a betting exchange. Bookies include websites such as Coral, Ladbrokes, SkyBet, Paddypower. Betting exchanges include a website called Smarkets.

There are several different websites to choose from when it comes to building a website. They tend to concentrate on a certain type of website and the one I want to look at today is building an online shop. Also known as ecommerce.
This particular website builder has a lot more to offer than most. It offers funnel creation, upselling, 1000s of apps to add to the store and over 12 different ways to pay.
Let's go through these with a bit more detail.
So simply put, a funnel is basically 2 or more pages connected together to help achieve a goal, in this case help to get customers.
Upselling is another given option to the customer to spend more than just the one initial spend. So they may choose to set up a subscription of interval purchases, say once a month or so. You may have seen these on other online shops such as Amazon.
The apps I mention are used to add functions to your website. Such as changing the currency depending on where the customer is from, or an app for you to use as a dropshipping supplier.
I don't need to talk to much about what this website building company has to offer and what it's all about as there are actual training videos (as well as plenty of information pages) you can access before you sign up to them.
